What an incredible evening celebrating one of Huddersfield’s favourite sporting sons, Jermaine McGillvary, as he was officially inducted into the Huddersfield Players Association Hall of Fame.
Held at the iconic Accu Stadium, the gala event brought together supporters of rugby league and sport to honour a player whose career has meant so much to the town and to the Huddersfield Giants.
BDX Promotions would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jermaine McGillvary, the Huddersfield Giants Players Association, and all the supporters of the Huddersfield Giants for an unforgettable evening celebrating his well-deserved inauguration into the Hall of Fame.
The evening was made even more special by the presence of Chairman Ken Davy, whose support helped make the occasion a truly memorable one.
Guests enjoyed a fantastic three-course meal, the opportunity to capture a professional photo with Jermaine as a lasting memento, and an evening filled with stories, laughter, and reflection on a remarkable career. Rugby League Hall of Fame inductee Jamie Peacock added further prestige to the evening as guest speaker, sharing insight and admiration for Jermaine’s achievements.
And of course, our resident rugby league MC Pete Emmett was, as always, his witty and charming self — bringing the perfect mix of professionalism and personality to the night, before concluding the event with a heartfelt and entertaining interview with Jermaine about his journey through the game.
As a further tribute to Jermaine’s roots — having come through the junior ranks at Deighton Juniors — all profits from the event will be shared between participating amateur clubs in Huddersfield to support the development of rugby league in the town. A fitting legacy for a player who has always represented his community with pride.
An amazing evening and a proud moment for everyone involved.
